People do not understand that Win10 blows Win7 away and 10 is the most stable Windows since XP. Too bad Win10 EoL is Oct 2025. Microsoft are a bunch of idiots when it comes to destroying stable operating systems.
Win11 is trash as well - for now - maybe when it matures in 8 years...
that being said, its not win 7 users flooding the forums, its troll threads being made to drum up win 7 drama and arguing that is flooding the forums, sadly the mods wont remove them, or the others filled with arguing.
i use whatever OS i want forever, cause i make my own choices/decisions...
if i want to use anything from dos and up, i will use them and yes i have "almost" every OS since dos, aint no one stopping me from using them either, no matter how hurt they are over it.
anywho, no replies needed, storys over and i will be over here using win 7 and steam, for the foreseeable future.
Let me know how it works out trying to run Steam on DOS 5 XD
who said anything about steam on dos? i said i will run whatever OS i please...
on that same token, stop letting it live rent free in your head. when it goes it goes.
Thanks you for supporting more MS telemetry, more confusing and convoluted interface. Hope you liked spending whole day in register disabling updates and making life as easier as it was in Win 7.
so glad i'm on ubuntu so i don't have to deal with things like that.
Ah yes the "making life easier" as it was on Win7.
Where you had to install drivers for various things in the Device manager after a fresh install because otherwise moving around a window was laggy. Had to do it every single time.
Totally making life easier.
On Win10 or Win11 I don't need to bother with that.
When I connect the internet cable for the first time I have to search for the connection before I can use the internet. On Win10 and Win11 I just connect it and it finds the connection.
There was also this issue with local network where trying to get access to my brothers PC. The Home Network system was absolute bs and caused me so much problem that I just gave up.
I couldn't just connect to my brothers PC unless the wire was directly connected to his.
Never had this issue on Win10 or Win11 after setting it up once.
Win10 has the best Start menu to date. I miss it in Win11. It's better than Win7 one.
As for updates. You've probably updated to the last version of win7 because I'm betting you're not using version 1.0 of it.
So why are you okay with updates on Win7 but not on Win10?
People also always told people to "Wait a few years" before upgrading because that's when the OS will get good.
The only reason it will get good when you decide to wait is because updates are being applied to it.
But now it's apparently the worst thing in the world.
Why make life easier if MS is monopolist
As is their right, and they're free to do this as long as they are able.
But ultimately when the client stops working on Windows 7, and no workaround can be found to keep it working, that's it. Every update from this day forward will be pushed through with zero consideration for Windows 7 at all.
That shows those users are merely there to start fights and not actually be productive.
