Destiny 2
I just downloaded Destiny 2. I read that there were issues playing it on Steam Deck. Are there any requirements for playing it?

The store page for Destiny 2 lists Steam Deck as unsupported.

Additionally, it should be noted that the developer harbors a fondness for deleting (and it indeed will be deleted from your game - rather than being vaulted or utilizing another euphemism employed by the designer) complete quest lines, planets and open world areas at intermittent points.

As he possesses complete liberty to do so. And finds himself rather disposed towards such an endeavor.

Destiny2 uses a type of kernel anti-cheat that is incompatible with the Steam Deck

Thank You for the information. I'll take a chance playing it. What's the worst they could do? I don't have progress to lose.

Please keep in mind that a sizable proportion of the narrative has been removed. As a result, you are very unlikely to detect any semblance of sense or advancement.

Steam Deck and Destiny 2
Destiny 2 is not supported for play on the Steam Deck or on any system utilizing Steam Play's Proton unless Windows is installed and running. Players who attempt to launch Destiny 2 on the Steam Deck through SteamOS or Proton will be unable to enter the game and will be returned to their game library after a short time.

Players who are not accessing Destiny 2 through Windows and attempt to bypass the SteamOS/Proton incompatibility will be met with a game ban.

If you really want to play Destiny 2 (or COD, or Fortnite, or any other game rendered incompatible due to aggressive anti-cheat), you should really use a Windows device.

Yeah. Any newer CoD from MW19 on forward doesn't support Linux at all. But it is fun playing them on the Deck through Windows.

Oh my. Well, at least it's a free to play game. I'll just delete it. And, try a supported shooter. Thank You Everyone for the advice.
