Vanilla Visa Gift Card & Community Market
So I added funds using my new Vanilla Visa card I got and the funds transferred successfully but when I go to the Community Market it gives me the restriction and says the new card needs to be verified. So I go to try to verify the card and it says my bank declined the attempt to verify or something like that... but its a Visa Vanilla gift?? wtf??? _*Can someone tell me how to remove the restriction??*_

Not all payment providers support cc verification. Also if there are no funds left on the card then it cannot be verified.

the card I used isnt a cc but a gift card and had funds until I used it just now

ok ok, so is there anyway that I can make the Community Market restriction I have from adding funds from my visa gift card go away?

If there are no funds left on it then the only thing you can do is wait for the restriiction to expire.

so if theres no funds left on the gift card then there's no way to remove the restriction?

there is. Wait 5 days. (i think it's 5 days.. might be 7, but i think 5). The restriction will then be gone on its own and you can use the funds.

Not manually no, but it will automatically expire after 5 days,

thats royal garbage, Steam should atleast mention that Gift Cards cant be verified..
better yet just save us all the trouble and quit being so secure and just let us spend our money.

Gift cards can be verified if there is still money on them. Steam has no way of knowing how much money is on the card.

idk man. i mean, if they can tell me transactions ive made with my credit card from up to 2 months ago then i'm pretty sure they could realize that a fund was put in only once

Of course they can keep track of charges they have made but not what others have made. It would be like mcdonalds knowing you've used your card at buger king before.

This happened to me a little while ago. I had to wait. It sucked, but its nice you can still use the funds in the store. I actually enjoyed it as a nice break from hoarding the market for CSGO skins, then realized I really didnt need them anyway.
