Does sending a gift reveal personally identifying information (PII)?

Hi, I am planning on sending a gift to someone as a thanks. If I do send a gift (e.g. a game), does the receiving end see personal information such as email addresses, last digits of card number, real name, etc.?

If it helps, I am located within the European Union (EU).

I am asking just to make sure since I read in past discussions that your email address is shown in the gift message.

No. They will just see, that user mikhail sent them a gift.

Valve stopped adding the senders email in the gift email years ago. 2018

They only get your profile name now and nothing else.

Not sure why they would link your credit deets or IRL name. It used to traditionally show your email at most. You can still choose to email it to them but you can also just deliver it to their user.

There's nothing personal that gets leaked. Only that the gift was from your steam profile.

Valve also stopped allowing people to send game gifts directly via email. The gift must be sent to an account upon checkout. They will still get an email notifying them of said gift though.
