What is the point of quickselling items anymore?
What is the point of using the prices in buy orders to sell items quickly when the funds will get frozen anyway and I have to wait for them to become available?

I don't understand how the sell price of the item is suspicious when it is LITERALLY THE PRICE LISTED FOR SELLING THE ITEM QUICKLY!

This makes 0 sense, I've never committed any sort of scam or fraud yet all my activity on the market in recent times is put under insane scrutiny and I can never get the money in time to buy the things I want.

Why is this happening? What can I do for this to not happen?

accounts get hijacked, the people that hijack the accounts post the items on the market to sell, then buy crap items that are worth only a few pennies but are listed at higher prices to clean out the accounts wallet.

thank the people that cant keep their accounts secured for the change.

Quickselling is about the selling price, not the availability of the funds.

You do realize that I sell the item quickly to get the money for said item quickly? That's the point of quickselling and me not receiving the money defeats the point.

Then for you, there is no point. "Quickselling" isn't some feature Valve promised, promoted or is obligated to enable at the expense of all other concerns. If it is, point me at that documentation.

If you're depending on instantaneous market transactions as the primary way to fund your account you're probably going to have to adjust some behaviors and expectations.

The point is that you quickly sell your items. Which for me still works as it always has done. Though I only quicksell trading cards, might be different with different items.
Thats ok we love it anyway...

???

So from this I'm guessing that Valve added that feature for... ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles?

And yeah, I did depend on it at this time. I am strapped for cash because I work at a school and school only just started, so I don't have a lot of cash on me, only allowance. But you are right, I will have to change up my "behaviors and expectations" as you called it, as if I expected something massive, not just a bloody feature that they have had for years at this point, that used to be quite useful and dependable, because it no longer is.

No, you assume every aspect of the functionality must be just so and the system would never change. Having a specific feature that behaves a certain way isn't written in stone. You can be upset, angry and engage in hyperbole all you want if it helps you feel better. None of it will prevent Valve from updating their system as they see fit.

Life is involves change. Get used to it. The length of time a feature existed isn't a future guarantee that it will remain unchanged.

I mean it makes sense, but honestly the hijacker will still get their funds. What is Valve going to do about that?

I assume you've never been in a situation where you've been strapped for cash, so you would never get it what it's like.

Small update on it as well: I've found a solution by asking a friend to gift me what I wanted to buy, with the intent to pay them back when i get the money, which I still do not have access to the money, despite it saying it will be available in 3 hours for like... days now. They're literally holding my money hostage.

I'm never using the comm market again, I'll look to other avenues to sell my items. Thanks for your amazing advice of telling me that I am the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, because I DARED to bring an issue to light. For shame, smartass.
