Game prices are different depending on which country you set to be from
For examaple Argnetina /Turkye offer the cheapest game prices because of the currency fall. But it's a bit weird to think that people can buy games cheaper on the same platform as other people just because of the area they're living in. Also if you set an account in one of the cheaper regions you can see that the prices are lower. Why is this so?

Regional pricing always has been a thing due the worth of the countries' currencies.

And you can't just set your account to another region to benefit from that pricing, Valve does everything to prevent you from doing so... For a good reason.

You just found out about regional pricing?

They also updated their pricing tools...

And made changing regions a bit tougher by adding some caveats to do so...

You pay by your billing address, so your currency and thus price is set by where you actually live.

Countries have different purchasing power. Compare the price of these regions to their actual incomes. If everything was based on USD you'd lock entire regions out of gaming entirely. On the flip side if you based prices around the lowest currency value, the gaming industry would end up collapsing.

They still didn't find a way to eliminate the issue, just mitigate it.

as for why its so, it should be pretty obvious, shouldnt? most people dont make nearly as much money as in some other places, prices are adjusted to reflect that. publishers themselves set prices though valve offers a recommendation on how to set prices in different currencies. if publishers set prices too high for people in a given region theyre going to make less sales overall from that region than if they would adjust it to better reflect what people are willing to spend especially given video games are a hobby or "luxury" item
