Just got my PC set up WTF Death Stranding?!
So I finally found a place to stay for awhile after a couple months of uncertainty and came back to find Death Stranding was removed from my library and there's this broken widget on my desktop that says the name of the game. It sounds like they moved the game to the DC edition for some reason, but is ther a thing I can do where I can do that upgrade thing w/o having to purchase the entire game again? I was like half way through the game and found out I just had it stolen from me!!! What do I do?

I had the non directors cut edition and got the directors cut for free. Both versions are now in my library.

Did you buy a key from a third party site? It's not common, but sometimes those keys can be found to be fraudulent and get revoked.

if it is not there you are on the wrong account

https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/

log in the accounts that bought the game

Even if sonething is upgraded in the store, you'll either have access to the old or the new version -- Steam doesn"t remove stuff form yor library

If a game is missing, you never had it, or you're on the wrong aacount.

Or it is hidden. Click the View link at the top and then Hidden Games.

Director's cut is a separate game here on Steam. You can still fully access the original version assuming you're on the right account

Update: I just realized that I had downloaded the game through the desktop Xbox app, thank you all for the help!
