I think I have a few bits and pieces of hardware that are 10 years old, if not older like my optical drive and the computer chassis (some old Fractal Design) + a couple fans.
I also have two old BenQ 60Hz monitors and a Logitech 250 Deluxe keyboard that I still use to this day.

My rig is getting pretty old. 7 to 8 years now.

Still playing every game on ultra. Tho I have to confess, BG3 is really starting to push the boundaries here. To think I still don't use an SSD...

even 7 years ago you should've had ssd in your pc

Never needed one. The fact that my PC is still working like day one is, I'm pretty sure, in great part because I don't have an SSD. Now, SSDs improved a lot over the years but I would not have trusted one to last that long back then. Consider the fact that every single piece in my PC is original and have not been replaced yet. I like buying quality so it last longer.

The only reason why I'm realising I might need an SSD in 2023 is because some games release by taking for granted that everybody use one, which is ludicrous. It is obvious why too, they do that because it reduce load time and they take that as a big plus, an improvement for their players. But that's still a made up problem since "normal" (or old fashioned) games would just have placed you a tad longer in loading before starting playing instead of trying to load all the assets on the fly.

Anyhow... That's a very first world country problem to have. I'm not really stressing too much about it yet.

2018. Ryzen 2600x, 32GB of RAM and a RTX 2080.
Still good enough to play everything at 1440p/60FPS which is enough for me.
Dont plan to upgrade anytime soon, especially since i dont play nearly as much anymore then a few years ago,

Less than 2 years, but I plan on keeping with this one longer than my previous, with the help of a planned MoBo replacement.
I still have my gaming engine from 2012 though. it had some hardware replacements, but original mobo+CPU. I mostly don't use it as it has my only copy of win 7; it is my best retro gaming machine. I just don't use it for steam anymore.
