No, you apparently did not understand what they were saying.
There are bots watching this forum and any other forum on Steam and as soon as a Steam key is posted in its full form they grab it and activate it on a linked account.
There is ZERO chance any normal user will get one of your free giveaways.
The second you posted that thread they were gone and uses by bots.
Thats why users usually give away game keys via private message or post them encrypted in a form the bots cant recognize and post a solution to the encryption in the thread.
Otherwise you just throwing these keys away by openly posting them.
I hope this clears that confusion up.
Edit: How do we know that?
Because many of us are users that have been here for 10 years or longer and seen it happening again and again over the years.
Steam cant ban bots doing that because its just web browser scripts.
Steam cant even recognize when a bot is scanning the forum threads for keys.
A good way to post a key is something like
DF4SF-DD473-745GT-XXXXX
And then write something like:
XXXXX = 3d letter of alphabet, 15th letter of alphabet, 3+5, 6th letter of alphabet, 3+3,
Easy to solve for a human, impossible for a bot.
A bot is just a automatic program someone wrote to scan the forums for keys, they have been around for many years, cant really be detected and thats why posting keys in the open is a bad idea.
See here:

Which sucks since you even posted some really nice games.
but unfortunately as mentioned above, these things get exploited by AI
all those games likely went to a single person and as soon as you posted these they were gone in about 2 seconds
