Zombie Game Recommendation

I'm looking for a game where you are just a random guy in the middle of a zombie apocalypse and have to make your own choices about what to do to survive. Any recommendations?

State of Decay, Left 4 Dead, Dying Light, Dead Rising... there's plenty of zombie games out there.

7 days to die is one of the best open world survival games out there if thats your thing. Its one of my most played games and it has a large supported modding community. It's also dirt cheap every sale.

Suppose that depends on if they want it to be 3D or not, if people are ok with 2D iso, then it seems like a fairly good game with other players. Else 7DTD is better for base building imo.

Project Zomboid is definitely an interesting a fresh take of a zombie game, although an isometric viewing experience. If that doesn't bother you, give that a swirl.

That's more linear IMO, not really a match for " make your own choices about what to do to survive"
