Dear all developers, please just stop it with the SBMM
SBMM needs to removed from every mode that isn't ranked/competitive from every multiplayer game ever made.. this ♥♥♥♥ is childish. Yeah I played my ass off to win that last game because my team sucked, and I get rewarded with an even more difficult game after. Crapioca pudding

what ever it is your complaining about, you picked the wrong place to complain. the game developers are not here. if you want to complain about a game using SBMM (what ever that is), you should be complaining in that games forum, or where ever that games developer is most likely to be viewing player feedback.

Skill-based matchmaking refers to the matchmaking system and algorithms a game uses to find other players for you to play with. Different factors can be used to decide which players you're matched with. Location and connection are usually prioritized in order to reduce lag and improve connectivity.

And whatever the factors are. People will complain about it placing them on the wrong tier.

This is the multiplayer gamers have bred for years.

It would seem that your issue is not with matchmaking but the fact that you are on the bad part of the Dunning-Kruger curve but refuse to acknowledge that you are simply being put in the same skill pool as others with the same skill as yourself, and that you refuse to acknowledge that you are simply not as skilled as you imagine you are.

Your excuse is the same as every other person who says this. That the system is keeping you from going to higher skill levels. By this logic NO ONE would be able to advance. Everyone would be Bronze/last place/etc. Because, again by your logic, everyone would be simply de-ranked constantly, regardless of skill, and there woudl only be one homogenous pool of players. This is obviously not the case. Thus the problem is not that you are being kept from higher ranks. The problem is, that you're blaming everyone else for the fact that you are being placed in the correct skill rank, and refuse to improve your skill

nope. this is not at all what im talking about. Im talking about playlists outside of ranked/comp in multiplayer games. Im just trying to relax and play but so many games these days just incorporate SBMM into all playlists and it makes the play-sesh frustrating. I couldn't care less about "higher ranks" or whatever the hell you're talking about. clearly you didn't read the post.

Open the server browser & manually pick a server to play on. If the game in question doesn't have one, play a game that has one.
Aw man IF ONLY pc games still relied solely on server browsers. That was the good times. You might be onto something tho. Bf2042 and some others still use em

So what you're saying is that when you 'want to relax' you would apparently

*checks notes*

Want to be placed up against a literal esports professional and get utterly slaughtered like fish in a barrel

This strikes me as not very 'relaxing' and in fact would be very frustrating even in a 'non competitive' game.

One would think that being placed against other similarly skilled players would be a good thing. When I play chess online, I don't play competitively. But I am not expecting to literally lose every game to a chess grandmaster either.

SBMM gives you the 'relaxing game' that you desire.

either you Or I is confused here. You think if i was playing connection-based MM i would go up against esports players? Maybe every so often but that's what makes it relaxing is there's more variety in the types of matches you get. There will be hard games, there will be easy games, and there will be close games. When every game is close and requires you to give it your all (and this isn't in a ranked playlist mind you so probably little to no rewards), it gets old much faster. Certain games do offer it but it's a shame games like Destiny and Halo try to throw it at you everywhere.

So again what is your 'problem' with SBMM

Because for all your screaming about it, you seem to have not actually articulated any 'problems'

Isn't that literally asking for roulette, that will decide if match is even possible to win? How getting players, who just mop a floor with you make game more relaxing? Because I surely wouldn't want to play against someone, who I have no chances to win with.

Lol I'm not doing any screaming. I've calmly replied to all of your pre-emptively hostile remarks. My problem with sbmm is too many games are putting it inside playlists that are not ranked or labeled as competitive. So there's no real incentive to play other than trying to have fun but sbmm mitigates that level of fun and you ultimately wind up getting exhausted and don't stay playing as long.

Its fine with me. It'd be the whole player pop mixed up so everyone has an even chance to face everyone. Maybe based on your connection that makes things more or less challenging but if the hit reg is there thats also a plus
