SBMM isn't going anywhere. It is here to stay.
This is the multiplayer gamers have bred for years.
Your excuse is the same as every other person who says this. That the system is keeping you from going to higher skill levels. By this logic NO ONE would be able to advance. Everyone would be Bronze/last place/etc. Because, again by your logic, everyone would be simply de-ranked constantly, regardless of skill, and there woudl only be one homogenous pool of players. This is obviously not the case. Thus the problem is not that you are being kept from higher ranks. The problem is, that you're blaming everyone else for the fact that you are being placed in the correct skill rank, and refuse to improve your skill
nope. this is not at all what im talking about. Im talking about playlists outside of ranked/comp in multiplayer games. Im just trying to relax and play but so many games these days just incorporate SBMM into all playlists and it makes the play-sesh frustrating. I couldn't care less about "higher ranks" or whatever the hell you're talking about. clearly you didn't read the post.
So what you're saying is that when you 'want to relax' you would apparently
*checks notes*
Want to be placed up against a literal esports professional and get utterly slaughtered like fish in a barrel
This strikes me as not very 'relaxing' and in fact would be very frustrating even in a 'non competitive' game.
One would think that being placed against other similarly skilled players would be a good thing. When I play chess online, I don't play competitively. But I am not expecting to literally lose every game to a chess grandmaster either.
SBMM gives you the 'relaxing game' that you desire.
either you Or I is confused here. You think if i was playing connection-based MM i would go up against esports players? Maybe every so often but that's what makes it relaxing is there's more variety in the types of matches you get. There will be hard games, there will be easy games, and there will be close games. When every game is close and requires you to give it your all (and this isn't in a ranked playlist mind you so probably little to no rewards), it gets old much faster. Certain games do offer it but it's a shame games like Destiny and Halo try to throw it at you everywhere.
So again what is your 'problem' with SBMM
Because for all your screaming about it, you seem to have not actually articulated any 'problems'
Lol I'm not doing any screaming. I've calmly replied to all of your pre-emptively hostile remarks. My problem with sbmm is too many games are putting it inside playlists that are not ranked or labeled as competitive. So there's no real incentive to play other than trying to have fun but sbmm mitigates that level of fun and you ultimately wind up getting exhausted and don't stay playing as long.
Its fine with me. It'd be the whole player pop mixed up so everyone has an even chance to face everyone. Maybe based on your connection that makes things more or less challenging but if the hit reg is there thats also a plus
