Hawken Reborn Game Discussion all Topics locked by developer

As the title states the developer of this game has locked every single topic and post since June 2nd. I have not seen this before and since it completely eliminates a function of steam is this even allowed for a developer to do? Even bug reports and such are locked you can't post and they direct you to their discord and Reddit.

Posting to bring this to more awareness.

But their recent event post is open, their Support sub-forum and their trading sub-forum are all open. At least 1 is always required to be open to everyone.

Many games have a Discord channel. It seems to be the popular thing now.

Yeah I just saw the support sub-forum is open. From what I gathered on the Reddit, they originally hid everything and blamed it on a mod error but have yet to open most of the forum. Still bad behavior on them for treating the community this way.

It's rare but you sometimes see this where the game or developers come under flack for a bad product so they run off into the likes of Reddit and Discord for solace in areas which they have greater moderation control. There may be one or two sub forums open but main discussions get locked down.

I'd say the game is very dead. Not that it was ever alive.

Closing down the steam forum section in favor of Reddit/Discord (where Valve cannot balance out their actions if they go off-rail) fills me with distrust.
