Massive Account Hijack/Hacking
I was in a game of Dota 2 with two of my friends, we ended the game and suddenly, my friend and I had our names changed and so did the profile pictures, changing account and logging in was kind of difficult too
We tried logging in again but it wasn't letting us, had to reinstall Steam Authenticator and Change Password to login again

Then I just searched the same name in Steam Friend's list and apparently there are 34000+ pages of the same name xD

Accounts are hijacked, not hacked.
Usually through phishing.

If people would stop entering their login credentials on fake websites offering "free stuff" then such issues wouldn't be an issue in the first place.

Have you already secured your accounts?

Your account is compromised.

Do not trade until your account is secured.

Take the following steps to secure your account:

1. Scan for malware. Use your own antivirus programm or use https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Check that the email and phone number on the Steam account are still yours.
3. Deauthorize all other devices. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
4. Change passwords from a clean computer.
5. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
6. Revoke the API key (there should be no key). https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey

Stop using scam sites!

Leave that group that is advertising such a site and secure your account.

But it's free and if it's free, it's for me.

Thank you, I changed everything and it is working perfectly fine for me, and I logged out of all my devices. Apparently, a friend of ours who borrowed games from few of us is attacked, since the 3 people amongst others who got their ID names changed were family sharing with him only in common

You’re shocked your account was hijacked after downloading and playing pirated steam games

I feel like it may be related to discord. Did you share your personal details with anyone on discord? A friend, girlfriend etc? Discord isn't end to end encrypted. My account got hijacked too and I've only ever shared my details with my wife on discord.

Unlike many other messenger services, conversations on Discord are not end-to-end encrypted. This does not protect messages, photos, videos, voice messages or files. So don't share private content on Discord.

End to end encryption also does not guarantee that the service provider can not access the content, they may have the encryption key as well. So, take such promises with a grain of salt.

Discord PMs getting hacked? Sounds major to me.

(Edit: oh, excuse me, "leaked")

Don’t pirate games, don’t sign up with your steam account ANYWHERE and don’t click on random links
