The user cSg|mc-Hotsauce is right! No need to post anything, even if it's mixed material from Valve on the Steam Community Forums run by Valve! Even if it's just some gesture of good will, something positive and fun and intended for the Community, it is not 100% Jesus Christ right. It is punishable by shame, more shame and then, maybe, death, who knows. I'm taking myself a 7 days self-ban from the community.
Enjoy your life, spend less time trying to share things with the Community, do more for your own self!
Did you get the ok to copy the artwork from the artist, waneella?
I wonder if you validate any other artwork on Steam, because there are copy pasters everywhere on Steam and they don't even try to mix up the source to come up with something new, they don't even describe the source of the file and don't use any notice about the copyrighted materials.
Feel free to report my wallpapers to Valve.
Thanks!
I agree with Valve, this graphic is much more suitable for autumn than summer.
waneella is the one you should be apologizing to. She made the artwork.
https://twitter.com/waneella_
You didn't even try to give her credit at all.
That:
1- It is set in an uncomfortable corner of the city
2- The alley looks dirty
3- There are too many air conditioners that are notoriously buzzing and create exaggerated heat.
I would have preferred a maritime scenery, open, with the blue sea, seagulls, cats, palm trees and a perfect blue sky with timid sea clouds.
All the sources I've used are from the Steam Store, Valve Corporation being the owner of it. The artwork is not credited to any artist in the store, nor in the file as metadata, otherwise I would have, at least, mention them in the description. Anyway, it's pretty standard for companies to buy all the assets for commissioned artwork so it can stay in the company no matter if the company is sold, changed or anything else involving company assets. I do believe the media files I've used in the mix are owned by Valve Corporation.
As I've said before, please report my shared Steam Community mix to Valve Corporation. Thank you!
Don't forget to tweet waneella "I've stole" their work for the purpose of high gains and taking over the world!
You're absurd. You're taking the wrong fight with the wrong person. I've only posted that because it's a community focused content related to Steam. I wanted to share something for others to enjoy, with the only real gain being a thanks or, maybe, just maybe, a community award. I did use a description, I did credit the source to the right owner, I did make changes to improve the work for people with two monitors. It took me hours to try different things until coming up with that version of the image I've posted. There are millions of copyrighted material, bluntly copy pasted on Steam from the Internet, but you are not in the business of really helping, and you know nobody listens to you, especially these kind of people who don't give 2 cents on what others are saying and what content are they posting. You're in the business of shaming! "Ha! GOTTEM!"
In the end, you are right, you won. That's what you wanted to hear! You are here punish this st..#$@ f*&^ that I am for trying to share some free time work done using Valve's content on Valve's Community forums. --- And let my mistake be a lesson to any other loser trying to do any artwork mix! You have been warned! --- YOU ARE RIGHT! Good job! You broke me! Now enjoy your free laugh. You did good!
Have a nice life!
Bye!
P.S. I've blocked you. It was an interesting day to lose time and nerves on Valve Community rather than do something positive.
