Origin to Steam Games

I had bought BF4 Premium years ago on Origin. As the EA games have come to Steam, do I need to buy BF4 again on Steam or can I just link my Origin and Steam account? ( I have pay also the EA PLAY thing on Steam for some other games) or I am forced to buy the game on Steam to get my progress carry over ?

If you want it on Steam, you have to purchase it on Steam.

Progress carries over as long as you log into the correct EA account.

BTW do it work if for example I have the EA PLAY thing activated and I can actually dowload the BF4 premium in steam instead of buy it but dont know if the progress carry over in that place cuz my ea account is linked and that but I am not buying it from steam I am getting it by the pass on steam ?

Buying EA Play on Steam also works. But it must be on Steam and not through EA.

Yes. Buying EA Play on Steam also works.
