how did i get hacked STEAM ?!!!

my account got hacked and half my inventory was cleared even though i have steamguard on phone and email notifications on aswell and changed my password recently, they listed all my items on the marketplace and bought a dota skin for an inflated rate, i know i can't get the items or the money back, so is there away to make my account more hack proof ?

yeah bro sorry to hear that hope you didn't lose much it's leaked information , for me it was a link on a discord server to vote for teams in some tournament basically a bot begging for your vote to qualify and to vote you need to sign in through steam, 5 people on the server clicked on the link you can guess what happened next, i recommend doing what is suggested in the first comment and good luck

Its never a good idea to link your account to some third party site. Sometimes you may want to for reasons, but in such case, make sure that the session they have is invalidated. (reset steam guard, etc.), so that any information they have becomes useless.

Steam OpenID does not 'share' any credentials related information with third party sites using the 'log in through steam'. Not those sites don't have access to any stuff on your profile which isn't already public.

Spacewar is a Trojan horse that pirated games use to get onto Steam. It's quite a neat little scam. Pirated games that require Steam use Spacewar's appid to sneak their way onto the service. Steam thinks they're using the SDK, but really the players are sneakily playing a new game in Spacewar's clothing.

But hey, you do you. Just saying. You lost your account, you have pirated games, and you wonder why....

Your account didnt get hacked in the first place. If it get's hijacked again it's your fault, the same way it was the first time.

No third party games or any other legitimate software, appears as AppID480. e.i. Space War.

Good try though, but no ones buying that.
