I mean, yeah, you can fix the issue, but the fact that people are requiring a workaround that terminates the Steam process is annoying, especially when this happens frequently for some users. If there's a bug, it falls for Valve to fix it, and this issue has persisted for over a month now. I think people have a right to complain.

See, their level of incompetence with the client and various basic features for the last several years is why I'm not worried about them saying they'll make the Steam client not run on Windows 7/8. It would be quite the fluke.

I mean why you need startoptions or configoptions in csgo to let the game run properly...

there is a new Steam client beta you can opt-in to try. maybe the issue is fixed on the new client but probably not, because you know...
