How do i contact them? Or who at BHVR can i contact about the moderation?
There is several users posting flamebait on the daily that never get punished but i just received a permanent ban from the discussion forums for saying "No" in reply to a post, which they claim is spam despite me only posting one comment like that.

They never respond to the bans, there's no way to contact them either and now i can't even post any screenshots of DBD.

Sorry to hear OP. Yeah, the DBD forum sucks. I was also permanently banned from there for a pretty ridiculous reason.

Someone once made a post asking if they were playing with a cheater because they appeared to have unreleased/hacked cosmetics equipped on their survivor. Well, I replied with a twitter post showing the cosmetic, and did not realise it was a leak post. I was just trying to find information on the cosmetic since I couldn't find it in-game on the store. I just assumed it was one of the battlepass/rift skins. Well, I logged off after replying to the thread and an hour later I came back to find I was perma'd for "posting leaked content."

Which is absolutely absurd, because the thread was deleted anyway. If they were worried about people seeing leaked content, does it matter when the thread itself is deleted? Nobody would have seen my post. But now I am perma'd. And for some ridiculous reason, being banned from the discussion board also bars you from interacting anything else with the game's hub - no more posting screenshots, artwork, guides, etc. or even commenting on other's.

I tried contacting steam and behaviour support and they also gave me the run around, one support always telling me to contact the other, with the other telling me to go back and contact the one that just told me to piss off. Eventually I gave up because they just aren't going to budge. They have awful mods on that hub.

I ended up uninstalling the game and I don't plan to ever give bhvr my money again.

The more i learn about these mods the more they seem about power abusing kids. I contacted Rizz through an old community message (the only mod to ever remove my comment and actually talk to me instead of instaban and ignoring) and im hoping to be able to receive some kind of resolution. This is absolutely insane

I attempted to contact the moderators via the ban page, and then attempt to send them a friend request to discuss it with them privately. Both of which are steps that valve recommends. I was promptly ignored, and then blocked by the individual moderators.

Upon contacting steam about this, they told me that individual game forms are allowed to moderate as they see fit. Essentially as long as they're not doing anything completely crazy, they are left to their own devices; which is how a valve treats their own moderators too.

So unfortunately, I think you're stuck. At least in my experience, I took every step valve recommended and was simply ignored.

Silly thing is, I was in the forum looking up information to possibly purchase the game.

I'm in this exact situation. Moderators ignore my comments on the ban, the only other mod i've been able to contact tells me they can't do anything about other mod's bans (despite them also thinking it's an insane ban and i don't deserve it) and steam support refuses to help

That forum is modded by ideologues and their entire job is to make the community not appear as dreadfully toxic as it actually is.

Youre ban will not be overturned. If you make another account to use those forums, you will almost certainly be banned again for the slightest infraction to speed your way to the 3rd and permanent ban.

The only thing on Steam Ive been permabanned from and for the most innocuous comments that would never trigger a ban anywhere else.

For another view on how bad that forum is modded, they do NOT allow user support for issues. If you post a problem or ask about a bug, they close the threads, They dont letr anyone in the peer group on Steam help you, they force you to their forums which are the same kind of cesspit of "happy forced enjoyment:

Meanwhile the game essentially promotes "toxic" gameplay but its all fine as long as no one dares to talk about it in spaces where they (BHVR) can control the conversation.

The mods fully ignore me and Rizzo (the only mod ive been able to contact about this) told me they cannot help with other mod's bans.
There HAS to be some way to report this kind of gross power abuse right?

I know who he is. He is a facecamping killer main and yes, every single posts he makes is bait. He is also Stevie the ExEvie and he will comment on your screenshots if he disgrees with you on the forums, if you havent seen that behavior yet.

I went through 5 or 6 accounts there before I decided that place isnt worth it. If you read the forum long enough you will realize that its the same threads made over and over by the next crop of low skill people who dont understand that the game has a learning curve 500+ hours long.

It's hilarious how one individual can be so famously toxic and harass so many people that 3 randoms that never met before know him but we all got permabanned for petty reasons while they continue to post megabait every single day and insult people for his/her enjoyment

Seen that guy in the game, he tried to face camp me at the exit gates luckily I had the perk to get off the hook and escape, well I Tbagged him at the exit gates and he went full mental in chat.

Have you received multiple warnings or temporary bans from there before?

When you have a record they are going to see that and deal with any reports they feel is breaking their rules even if it's a minor issue.

I got 2 previous bans before for equally odd reasons that the moderators also refused to talk to me about; the last ban was a few months ago for saying i didn't like that the matchmaking system would put me vs new "baby" survivors (which is the endearing term used for fresh installs) on one game and vs toxic Twitch streamer bully childish premade squads the next and if there was any way to balance out my mmr so i wouldn't have to deal with being bullied nor with absolutely crushing new players. They removed it because they considered it insulting to twitch streamers, which wasn't my intention but i can at least see why.

If you go to the board however there is several infamous users that post MUCH worse than calling toxic people children, and they do it on the daily. For some reason that very small group of people gets away with it whilst everyone else get banned right away. I honestly don't mind being warned or told off, i'll adjust my behavoir as i go because it's very hard for me to read the room because i'm a bit socially incapable at times, but i honestly don't ever post or say anything in or out-game to make any individual feel upset.

At the end it doesn't matter... better discuss this with the support and not public in the forum and strictly speaking, it is also a violation of the rules to do so.
