As a rule of thumb for me:
So, I wouldn't expect controller support for these.
I've also encountered other games where controller support was just bad, usually added as an afterthought and they basically emulated a mouse...
Still, rather than trying to figure out games that work well with a controller -- there's a ton of those -- I'd start by looking at games that you are interested in, and find out about their controller support..
All the games I listed above have controller support. So I am asking what others think of those games. I dont watch youtube videos on games, because people dont know how to upload spoiler free content anymore.
WWE 2k20 is 100% controller supported, but has a major input issue and xbox controller reads as a ps4 controller and the devs never fixed it.
Other games work with a controller, but need a kb and mouse to start. I will be bed ridden and using Big Picture Mode to exlcusively game when I do play as I recover.
Having stomach surgery, so there is no chance of using a keyboard and mouse for about a month.
I am 99% a keyboard and mouse player too :(
Based off of personal experience, Batman Arkham games are very controller friendly as is the latest Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Earlier Lego games can be hit and miss but the last one was done well.
If you're into fighting games or racing games, those are almost always good for controllers. MK11, Injustice 2, Street Fighter, Tekken, Marvel vs CAPCOM for fighting. For racing just blindly throw a dart and see where it sticks.
My 2 cents anyway.
Thanks, I forgot about mk11 and marvel vs capcom
