do you install all the games or pick one and install
hi there,

i was wondering if you all install all the games you bought or just pick one and install and play the game to end.

i have seen some having more than 200 games, which to me only can install via the external hard drive.

Can i have some opinion for you all? thank you

I install them all. I used to be picky about the games since I had a smaller drive but now that my drive is bigger, I just install them and leave them there.

It's pretty sad when your friend asks you to play but you tell them you can't because it's not installed (i.e. you deleted it to make room for something else).

I tend to install when I want to play. Some games get long-term installation for ease-of-access. Somewhat depends on which hardware I’m presently using, as well.

Wow

Out of curiosity, are you using external hard drive?

No. 1TB main NVMe M.2 and 3 x 1TB SATA. With the price of SATA technology being so low now, there is no reason to use an external drive for a non portable PC.

In my case, it would be impossible to install all.

I would need a high-end NAS

Not all, don't have the space for that. But I have installed 177 games currently. Basically my installed priority part of my library (games I want to continue playing, games I've yet to play and games I want to replay). Stuff I'm done with I uninstall and replace with games from the uninstalled priority part.

I only install games I intend to play, not all at once.

It also depends how fast your internet connection is and whether it is limited or not. Although I have a lot of storage, I have very slow internet (5MB/s) so you will have to weigh the pluses and minuses of both.

If you have really fast internet, there is probably little reason to keep everything on disk. If someone asks you to play a game that you don't have installed, it probably wouldn't take long to get up and running.

Not possible to install everything in my case.

I have a few select games that always stay installed - mostly Bethesda games I can't be bothered risking mods breaking - for everything else I install what I want to play and remove stuff if I haven't played it in a few months.

I just install what I'm playing at the time, but I have a good internet connection so downloading games isn't really a big issue.
