Same process as any other update on Steam. This is not a new release (Skyrim Special Edition f.e.) to my knowledge.
yes?
just wait. Steam wont release anything like gog does
what is the next gen update do you mean witcher 1 update?
methinks?
either way this is steam.
if the game has an update it will do so
if not it wont
wait for tomorrow, check out gog or your steam queue.
if its on gog and not the queue, its very common for gog to get patches lonnnng before steam
hence why most companies are going away from steam
hugs
seems like you arent a steam user so good!
But yes, check the game TOMORROW dec 14th not today or tonight tomorrow
best place to ask this is also NEVER ON STEAM FORUMS
go to gog and say this there, you wont have pos mods, and you get a real answer from staff working on it.
hopes and rest well
you can add any non steam game to steam interface but it wont transition into a steam game
moderators NOT MODS as in modifications
mods are = on all
do NOT buy the game again if you own it.
please
you either own it on steam or dont
if not, get the game its great
moderators suck here
gog has great ones.
SO with the witcher 3 complete on steam its the same as gog
minus offline ability
also if you ever see a CDPR game, prolly best to get it on gog
as they run it
lol
hugs and UGHS
I irk at valhalla AC release on steam
its terrible to do such a thing esp when we JUST had TONS of dlc content revoked and all MP anything.
yeah lets buy it again!
no
Offline Mode works perfectly fine on Steam for Witcher 3.
LOL
my fault for not typing correctly
GOG allows you to download and keep ALL files
steam requires an active net to dl games
so gog is the only place in this modern world where you can go to backup
and play the game with zero internet as the files are downloaded locally
you cannot do this with steam
not without exe illegal bypasses that is.
this is why most adore gog, that and they update more stuff like dosbox games and vers
patches usually first on gog vs steam or such.
hugs
............... what? Mods are for the game itself, the platform doesn't matter.
You can download witcher 3 on steam and play it offline. What are you even on about?
go back
read carefully
note:
steam requires the internet
you can never download games if you say move to a place that HAS NO internet
go try to download the games and play em offline you do that
they wont work
gog allows basically an iso
steam backups are NOT the same
sheeesh kid
google why gog is better than steam
"The primary difference between games on Steam and games on GOG is that GOG is entirely DRM-free. If you purchase a game on the platform, it's yours to own — period.
Steam games perform a check to ensure you're connected to Steam. In theory, it's possible to lose your Steam library if Steam ever vanishes"
now thats just one pic on it
google
understand GOG has and always will be superior to steam
other than the lower library listing
they have old better stable games that do not require steam drm to run
you playing "offline" still requires friggen STEAM
ugh kid
google
learn
PS
MODS as in people that moderate the forums
the moderators are SUPERIOR to steam mods which are usually dev based and idiotic.
you will never see insane bans on gog forums as you do here.
ban reason " added nothing important to the conversation"
ban length forever
this wasnt me that got this but yep its happened mannny times
then steam global bans you
gl!
haha
use BOTH gog and steam
then unplug that net
and understand
No internet and you already have Steam and Witcher 3 installed? Just launch W3 from it's executable, it has zero drm on Steam so it doesn't even need Steam to be running. What's your point there?
Want to put W3 in a blu-ray? Go ahead. Again, no DRM on Steam, so what's the point there?
Why are you ranting about mods in a thread asking about updating W3 tomorrow?
dl the games now from both
gog and steam
with net
then go turn off the net
and try to play steam games which require auth
steam itself is a drm you DO know that right?
ugh
no one ranted about mods
I made a correction as mods can be considered two things I didnt want the poster to be confused
the people are nicer on gog
as is shown by this thread
on gog it would be removed already and you.. and I wouldnt be welcome
I am trying to help someone
you are giving bad and false info to them
and are trolling the topic here
which is against steam tos
please stay on topic or move on
ty
PS
if you can run W3 steam ver from an exe offline,
you pirated the exe
or
you never want achievements or to use steam saves again
hugs
You went on about mods in your initial post.
I literally told them exactly what to do, before you.
Also, PLEASE PLEASE point to that "tos violation".
Well this just shows you know nothing about CDPR And their Steam offerings, as they have zero DRM on all their games on Steam. Witcher 1-3, Cyberpunk. None of them actually require Steam to be running.
just
wow
as for tos you will find out.
I mean kid mods make up their tos mostly
I showed an example
you are also living proof to that guy gog is superior in forum base at least.
as per mod
someone posted.. if you had read which you did not,
that MODS are the same on gog and steam, he meant mods not the moderators
I simply corrected this. You didnt read that. so
If you think steam has no drm you are the one giving false info out
quick open task manager
show the steam processes
yeah thought so
"Why does Steam use DRM?
The Steam DRM wrapper is an important part of Steam platform because it verifies game ownership and ensures that Steamworks features work properly by launching Steam before launching the game. The Steam DRM wrapper by itself is not an anti-piracy solution.
https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/features/drm
please follow guidelines and get back on topic and off me.
this is trolling a thread and yes its in the tos
google it or ask a nice mod
