And I don't have a reddit account. That helps.
On a serious note.... And in no way am I trolling... How is PC gaming better? Other than Mods and a few extra Frames per second??? (Consoles do offer modding in some games: Halo, Mod Nation Racing, Little Big Planet, Revolt...)
Honestly the only time I ever notice issues with graphics and studders is when I game on PC.
Why do PC gamers snub Console gaming? IMO console gaming is where it's at.. Pop in or download a game and bam I'm gaming.
Console Perks
- Ease of use
- Way better AAA casual exclusives (Sunset Overdrive, Infamous, God of War, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, etc..)
- Gamer scroe is based off of gameplay
- Friends, Party system, & communications works out of the box
- Doubles as a smart TV
- Achievements are legit
- 360 & PS3 interfaces were perfect
- My playstation does not spy on me and have a keylogger installed as part of the OS
Console Flaws
- Games
sometimes
are more expensive
- Monthly or yearly fees
- At times not backwards compatible
- Minimal Space / No SSD support
- Kinect, Playstation Move, Most Nintendo Controllers
- No mouse or keyboard support
PC Perks
- At times games are Cheaper
- Better frame rates
- No monthly or yearly fees
PC Flaws
- High cost of initial hardware
- Constant tweeking on a per game basis
- At times horrendous console ports
- A zillion (IMO) crappy indie games to sift through
- They sell unfinished and maybe never finished Early Access games. (Cash Grab)
- I can max out my achievements with 1 app in 20 seconds (bad programming)
- Gamer score is based on how many games your purchased
- Pretty terrible support
- Steam Machines.... LOL I'm still puzzled by this one.
Agian I like Steam and PC gaming. And which platform you like is subjective... But IMO I feel it comes down to.... "Do I want to spend more time tinkering" or "Do I want to spend more time gaming".
And please don't say something like .. "I got a Flux Capacitor 6000 with dual jigga watt GPU's running @ 16,000 zillion FPS" Blah blah blah... I bet in the past year we have all had PC releated game issues with one title or another.... No matter what specs your rig is...
All games are awesome.
Remember the Dreamcast VMU? That system was way ahead of it's time... First console online if I recall...
Remember Unreal tournament facing worlds and Age of kings on PC.... Boy my mouse hand was strong back then...
Remember playing Word Fu phone to phone over wifi with your girlfriend.
PC:
* huge, huge library of games, dwarfing that of any console, including many freeware games
* it's possible to buy non-freeware games at significant discounts, averaging out to $5 or less per game, as long as you're willing to wait (and I am)
Console:
* some really nice exclusives. if i wait a decade or two they might come to PC...?
ROFL, what a dumb-a$$.

If the game textures make it look muddy, putting in ginourmous resulutions or downsampling won't fix it, all it might do is hide any jaggy lines from aliasing better than game provided AA and make picture progressively darker.

On Steam I recently played 'Flame Over' and 'Beat Hazard'... Do you think these devs worried about 4k vs 2k? Nope they had an idea and executed it...
Devs, Start making better games and quit worrying so much about graphics.
Devs Brain "Hey, Here is a shooter. You can push buttons, open doors, pick up health. Just like 1993 Doom.. .But in 4k!!!"
Yep
Witcher 3 looks nice, ♥♥♥♥ combat
Just Cause looks nice even more repetitive
Batman looks nice more bs problems
If only it was this way Mr. Banned. Sadly the people going around spreading this cancer are older than me........
I would rather pay my student loan off....
noob console peasants playing at 720p 30fps lmao such noobs
the human eye cant see past 24 fps but 60 fps is ♥♥♥♥
4k 60fps mlg
Sorry, you are not up to date in this matter. Or visual system works analog, not digital.
We can see movement and changes far above 24 fps. The range we are able to see movements in range from 40 to 50 fps. Astonishingly the movement detetcting is even higher at the borders of our vision. Maybe our wouldbe predecessor with bad movement detection skills had very bad accidents, so that skill was a survival trait. :)
In my case, I tested it. For myself I need 45+ fps to see any movement and turns in a FPS as fluid. Try it out for yourself. You can lower the temperature of your GPU if you set it to the value you really need. Lower temperature means longer life for electronic devices.
60 fps are too much. That I agree. But it should be at least 50 fps, to be sure to have the feeling of a fluid movement for all of us.
So if you try it,. start with 50 fps, and go down from that value.
And as you can see in the description above, a stable fps rate at 50 fps is far more important than 4k resolution, that around 60% of mankind are not even able to see and experience at all. They all have a "bad" eyesight. In my oppinion. the develpoers are looking in the wrong way.
Hope I could help.
P.S. Btw. "Cinematis Experience" is pure BS, inventent as sorry excuse from UBISOFT, who couldn't reach 30 fps on the XBone, even if their own live would depend on it.
