PC gamer Arrogance
By being here I hope this proves that I am indeed a pc gamer if it is not obvious, my confusion is why is the "pc master race" gamers so arrogant. I mean their not just rude to console gamers but to any other pc gamer that does not own a 3k computer that can stream everything in 4k 144 fps. If I am not mistaken less than 20 percent of homes in america even own a 4k TV, and 4k does not make the game play any better and to be all honest anything above 60 fps doesnt really make a significant difference. I own a high end PC and can run most games on ultra including witcher 3 and Fallout 4 (but thats an easy one). I just dont know why to put someone down. in any form asking for help theirs always that one pc master race dude thats like "I can play 20k 3000 fps get a new potato' or "console peasent scum" I dont get it why is that fun?.

Welcome to the internet. Every platform has their fair share of idiots - just look at the Xbox v PS4 squabbles about 1080p and 900p. It's just immature banter and best to be stayed out of.

I understand fanboys but even PlayStation fan boys don't attack each other, PC master race gamers attack each other as much as others

Because they are on the same outdated potato so what are they going to fight over?

There is a reason they fight with other types of console owners.

Your question boils down to "Why are some humans jerks toward other humans?"

You're using a specific example here, of people who play games on PCs, but since there's nothing exceptional about either people who play games, or PCs, the common denominator in all of this is "people."

People can be jerks. They just are. There's no simple answer to *why* a given person is a jerk, but very often it's because of learned behaviors. So you can blame their environment, or their upbringing, etc., if you like. But too some people seem to be born with a sort of "jerk" temperament. There's no agreed upon explanation for why. It's just one of those things that "just is." In the same way that many people are generous and kind and thoughtful "by nature", so other people are rude, unsympathetic and stingy "by nature".

Or, to quote Marvin the Paranoid Android: "Life? Don't talk to me about Life."

When arguing with a console gamer the debate narrows to pcs can do more stuff when arguing with each other the argument is graphics but since when does 4K make a game great, vampire the masquerade looks like crap but a great game.

Furthermore anything past 1080p does not make the largest impact for me 1080p is crisp but 2k or 4K while nice won't make the graphics it'll just make things well more clear nice but not needed especially since you might have to lower other settings to get thst

From my observations they are just self-entitled fools with a few games on Steam (rarely do they even pass 50).

They are not gamers like the rest of us.

I'll be generous and say the one semi-legitimate reason I can see for the PC gamers' dislike of console gamers is that (to a certain extent) consoles hold back games - if you designed purely for [high-end] PCs, you could get some really incredible graphics, maps, etc.

But, like everybody else said, in general it's just jerks finding something to be jerky about. The nice PC gamers aren't on the forums complaining - they are playing games.
AlwaysHungry815 Apr 11, 2016 @ 1:04pm
It's a double edged sword - yes consoles hold back graphics but PC is the primary reason for piracy protection, furthermore most rigs can not ultra every game 120 fps so until every single PC gamer has a beast rig they can't say consoles are holding back that's like bill gates saying everything is too cheap

If they build a game with God like graphics and an entire universe fully detailed , nobody except 1 percent of PC gamers would have the PC to play it

Anonymity breeds animosity. Its always been like that and for all intents and purposes, always will be.

A "gamer" is someone that plays video games. Quantity of said video games and the preferred platform is irrelevant.

Ever heard of Crysis? Not many people could run that game on PC when it was first released in 2007 and yet it still became really famous and spawned 2 sequels. Infact the original game even ended up creating a meme[knowyourmeme.com] because the system requirements were so steep.
It still has some pretty awesome graphics for a game released nearly 10 years ago.

The observation of quantity was regards to those people calling themselves the "PC master race".

If they really where the "master race" then they would be playing more PC games.

Gamers don't necessarily stick to a single platform like the pretenders.
