Can't access community market
It appears that my account is restricted to access the community market, I just added funds to my wallet and tried to buy something on dota 2 store, and it says that i have to wait for a month. And I was like WTF?! It says that spending 5$ USD will grant me access to some features such as community market, so i added a balance equivalent to 5$ USD but still i cant access the comm market. Is there any way so I can buy items right away? Help and thanks in advance!

Users are required to wait 30 days after making a valid purchase (adding funds via Steam Store/buying a game) from the Steam Store. The restriction date listed is when the market will become available and you will be required to have a valid purchase on record every 365 days for continued market access.

Purchase Limitations
''Your account must have a successful purchase older than 30 days, but not older than a year in order to access the Community Market. The purchase of wallet funds, games, DLCs and software meet this requirement. Retail CD key activations and gift purchases do not satisfy this requirement''

You said you only added $5...

The restriction is the same for everybody regardless.

Kindly check this out and explain this to me thanks!

How do I gain access to these features?

You will need to spend at least $5.00 USD within the Steam store.

Some examples of purchases that grant access to these features are:

- Adding the equivalent of $5 USD or more to your Steam Wallet

- Purchasing game(s) that are equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store
- Adding a Steam Wallet card that is equal to $5 USD or more to your Steam account
- Purchasing a Steam gift that is equal to $5 USD or more from the Steam store (Receiving a Steam gift from a friend doesn't count)

Each Steam purchase total will be tracked in USD. If your Steam store's currency isn't in USD, it will be tracked and converted to USD automatically using daily exchange rates.

What features are unavailable to me?

Limited users are prevented from accessing several features on Steam, including but not limited to:

-Sending friend invites
-Opening group chat
-Voting on Greenlight, Steam Reviews and Workshop items
-Participating in the Steam Market
-Posting frequently in the Steam Discussions
-Gaining Steam Profile Levels (Locked to level 0) and Trading Cards
-Submitting content on the Steam Workshop
-Posting in an item's Steam Workshop Discussions
-Accessing the Steam Web API
-Using browser and mobile chat
-Adding public artwork and screenshots

Basically your wallet funds (valid purchase) isn't 30 days old so that's why you have to wait a month before you can access the market. Your account is 3 years old but you lapsed from the market due to not buying anything from the Steam Store in the past year. Steam is not a charity and if you want continued access of such features; you have to give something back and one purchase from the Steam Store that you have on record for 30 days is all that's required.

Some of these rules are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid. This one especially. I can't buy a 11 cent card to complete a badge because of this ♥♥♥♥ and I'm not gonna add 5 dollars just to do it.

So trade for it. Unless you have literally nothing worth trading.

Maybe I do, maybe I don't. How is that a good defense for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ practice?

We only need to buy something on Steam Store or add funds to wallet ONCE a year. Doesn't matter how much it is. It could literally be a 1 dollar game (with a coupon, you could even get a game for 16 cents like I did).

Steam is running a business here. Not to mention the 30 day wait is to make sure there's nothing shady about our payment method.

:rad_rune:
I have a simellar problem where i get on and it says that I can't access the market because i reset my password and I have to wait 5 days. But it has been weeks since I reset my password
Here's the gist of what the >30 days <365 days purchase requirement means:

* Newly created accounts can't use the Community Market.
* Inactive accounts that haven't been used in forever (as well as active accounts that haven't actually spent money on Steam in forever) can't use the Community Market.

"New" in this case is defined as less than 30 days old.
"Forever" in this case is defined as 365 days.

It's really that simple.
