Activision Week*end LOL at prices
No thanks, I'll skip 9.99 € mw2.. nice joke.
Overprice more all those old games (9.99€ cod 2 ^^ muhahaha)

Thanks for the good laugh, it's not tomorrow I'll buy those, despite MW2 in my wishlist.

Yeah, you can buy the physical boxed game for less...brand new at that. Their "sales" are a joke.

lol I was just about to write something similar... COD 2 (2006) = £7.50(€9.42), COD MW (2007) = £9.99(€12.55), COD WAW (2008) = £9.99(€12.55), COD MW 2 (2009) = £9.99(€12.55).

What a complete p**s take.... Also love the fact that somehow €9.99 is equal to £9.99!

No thanks Activision, not interested in your comedy weekend. Take your inflated regional pricing of old obsolete games & then go f**k yourselves.

Yours Sincerely,
Steam Community

I feel the same way, I count 4-5 games that I would pick up in this sale if they were 50% cheaper...

Maybe if there was a system that gave you discounts the more games you purchased... So if you purchase 3 of them, you get an extra 25%, if you purchase 5 of them you get an extra 50% off.

As it stands I think I will skip this sale.

Humblebundle does that for special build your own bundle sales. I think a couple other bundle sites do that as well.

Yeah the "sale" is a joke but am hardly surprised because its Activision.I was interested in buying Advanced Warfare and Timeshift but not at those prices.

Timeshift & Singularity have fair prices (I enjoyed Singularity ..was on big sale few months ago).
all the CoD license is jokingly overpriced (at least for the old ones..). Actimoney at its best.
I can spend 20€ in Factorio without any problem but 9.99 € in an old CoD... no thanks.

Activision never lower their prices like Ubisoft per say, because people still buy their products at full price and I bet their begrudege even giving out a 10% discount.

Activision sales are always laughable. Bobby Kotick's idea of "value for money" which is more along the lines of "give us all yer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ money! ya prick!!".

^^^This. Activision typically does not allow their game/sale prices to depreciate like most publishers do. They make some of the best selling games on the market and have made a calculated decision that keeping their prices relatively high is better for their bottom line than any increase in revenue that may result in deeper sales/lower prices.

If you are looking for good prices from legit re/e-tailers, I recommend IsThereAnyDeal.com . It scours lots of legit sites that sell Steam keys so you can find the best price. It has many great tools such as pricing history charts so you can how often a game goes on sale at a particular site. Most importantly, you can import your steam wishlist and set custom price alerts so you will get an email when a game goes on sale at or below a price you decide.

The best way to get low prices is my own discounter...

For about 3 € today I got legit box version of all that :

"War for the Overworld" - underworld edition - STEAM version (about 35 €)
"Painkiller Hell & Damnation" - uncut - STEAM version (includes 2 DLC's) -- about 20 €
"Hunted" NON STEAM version (steam price : 19.99 €)

I've started HUNTED, this game is damn good in fact.

I'd say GOOD LUCK Activision.

Crap sale prices. Not really bothered by any of the COD games anyway, although I may have picked up MW2 (had it on Xbox 360), but I am not buying it at that price. Almost as bad as the Elite Dangerous content pricing strategy (stands by for fireworks!).

Poor pricing policy. Hardly a sale at all really.

Here is how I see this:

Modern Warfare 3: Havent played it, would consider $7.50 fair'ish in 2016, $20 is crazy.
Modern Warfare 2: Played it already, $5 for this 7 year old game is fair, $10 is too much.
Singularity: $5 would be an easy buy, $7.50 is not worth it due to my current game playlist.
TimeShift: Saw some reviews, overall seems like a $2.5 instead of $5.
Prototype 2: Another badly reviewed game, $5 is fair price 2016, instead its $10...

Overall I already have many games to play and some of these games (like TimeShift) I may never even play even if I got it free today. So I am not interested in overpaying for these games, all of which are 4 years old or more.

Every time I look at their store the base prices are too high, so I never bother to look at their store anymore.
