Story driven "stress-free" games?
I live a very stressful life so when i play i need something that draws me in and is super addictive but without the combat/hard puzzle side of it.

I love visual novels/stress free adventure games and i love the mystery/detective genre, but not pure horror.

Games i love:
-Life is strange
-Danganronpa
-Telltale games
-That dragon, cancer
-Cinders
-Always sometimes monsters
-Brothers
-CLANNAD
-Dreamfall chapters
-Firewatch
-Oxenfree
-Stardew valley
-The 39 steps

Any advice for new games that I should look at is VERY welcome :) *Thanks*

Hero of the Kingdom is a fun little game. Not too long but I found it very addictive.
fault milestone one - a kinetic novel, some fantasy and political elements

narcissu - a kinetic novel, about people with terminal illnesses

Puzzle Agent (a.k.a. Nelson Tethers: Puzzle Agent) point-and-click game with (relatively easy) puzzle minigames and storytelling, some mystery/horror elements

The Shivah - point-and-click adventure, noir atmosphere, note: some figuring-out to do or else your character may suffer an unfortunate fate

Dysfunctional Systems - a visual novel with only a couple or so routes, great setting development, no sequel unfortunately

Finding Teddy - point-and-click adventure, strongly atmospheric

To The Moon - point-and-click story presented in RPG Maker format

Thaaanks, I will check them all out :)

I prefer choice matters/storytelling/story driven adventure/visual novel/point&click more than strategy and such :)

A nice story driven adventure game is

Basically a murder mystery but filmed with real actors. You need to interview suspects, spot when they are lying and look around the village for clues. Very fun , even if the acting is a bit campy. But that is part of the charm.

Hey Brokkoline,

I recommend "Murdered: Soul Suspect".

You really must play this game.

Is there any combat in this "Murdered: Soul suspect"? :)

Not really. There are section where demons hunt you but its more about stealth and not being seen by them. You also can attack them from behind with a quicktime action, that destroys them.
Its not really combat and those sections are maybe 10-15% of the gameplay.
Most of the time is searching for clues , posessing people to influence their actions and talking.
You basically are a ghost of a police detective who tries to catch a serial killer who also killed him.

Its a nice adventure game, not hard at all.

Alien Isolation is pretty relaxing

Well, you encounter demons in the game. You can try to take them down by sneaking behind their back and pushing a keyboard shortcut.
I failed with this all the time ...because I'm too slow with my fingers.^^
Also you have the opportunity to come past them without facing them.

One video sequence tells of a person in a mental hospital. That's a bit scary.

This game has captivated me, video clips offer high quality and storyline is very interesting.

If you can wait you should buy in Sommer Sale.
I spent 2 or 3€ for this high quality game.

Here are some games that came into my mind, which might be fitting:

Grow Home
Lilli: Child of Geos
Her Story
Gone Home
The Stanley Parable
Also there's World End Economica, which was written by the guy who wrote Spice and Wolf.

I'll toss out a few that might be hit or miss depending on what exactly draws you in or hooks you.

Draw you in:
-Eidolon. Large areas to explore, story to uncover.
-The Old City: Leviathan might work here too.
-The dark fall series. Horror. Creepy in all the right ways but no combat. Some puzzles though. Currently on sale.
-Hate series (including Analogue): deep stories, long reads though.
-ICY: basically a gamebook ported to PC. I enjoyed it.
-Zafehouse Diaries. Not direct combat, but strong environment and narration. If this one comes close, check out Fear Equation as well.
Other strong immersives I could suggest are heavy puzzle based. Talos Principle and Antichamber. If you like stardew valley you might want to look at Fortunes Tavern.

Addictive:
Plants vs Zombies, Bloons TD5. Good casual fun.
Farming simulator. No combat, immersive, and you get to play with the big equipment.
