Half Life > Half Life 2 > Half Life 2: Episode 1 > Half Life 2: Episode 2

The only downside is the Half Life which has bad graphics. But the fun hype is 96/100. Hf

What sort of game RTS/RPG/ONline etc
Online you could try World of Tanks, or Wildstar (available on Steam) both are free to play and free to buy, WIldstar you really don't need to spend any money, WOT you need to spend some occasionally.

Or you could try one of the Total War Games such as Warhammer or Atilla

Or an RPG such as The Witcher, it's got maybe over 100hrs gameplay with the expansions.

You should look into strategy games (turn-based or real-time, it's really up to you), they're great to spend some quality time. I highly recommend Warhammer: Dawn Of War (the Master Collection is totally worth the price on sales).
