Bundles where you already own some items?
Just wondering whats up with the bundles where you already own one or more items? I know steam used to charge you full price even if you already owned but then they changed it that you got an extra discount depending on what you already owned.

But now it seems like its gone back to the old system? Nearly all the things i was interested in buying are only worth it in the bundles but since i own stuff in the bundles its not giving me the extra discount anymore which makes them not worth buying.

Basically this means ill probably be buying nothing in this sale or close to nothing. Why has this changed back? the sale is bad enough but this totally ruins it.

Its not worth the price when i have to rebuy stuff it was great when they got rid of this why have they brought it back? obviously to get more money but how are they getting more money by ruling out people who have items

It varies by bundle. Publishers can choose if people that own part get a discount or if they pay full price.
I bought Raise of the Tomb Raider yesterday and because I had Just Cause 3 already I only paid 24.37 € so it seems to be up to the publishers.

I did it the other way around but saw the same.

i been checking the price of bundles on my steam account with the app on against the prices using web browser not logged in and they have been the same.

Maybe im just unlucky that the ones i want are not supported by the publishers but its a bad move because i wont buy them and probably wont buy from them publishers in future unless its a game of the year edition.

Being an early buyer is a double rip off because you pay top price and if stuff is on sale down the line with dlc you still get overcharged.

Well I have found times where even with up to half of a bundle buying the rest can still be cheaper than buying the individual parts. But that can be rare.

Yeah but over last few months you would still get even more of a discount on top of that and also as you say its rare but yeah it does happen sometimes
