Best racing games on Steam? Suggestions?

I don't really have any racing games nor do I know anything about this genre of games BUT for some reason really want to play one atm and don't want to buy crap by accident.

Can you guys suggest the best racing game out right now?

Price doesn't really matter, I'd like good graphics as I have a pretty decent rig BUT gameplay will trump graphics 9 out of 10 times. If possible, try to suggest new titles first.

Alright.

Burnout Paradise: Open World, lots of stunts, and different race modes. Only downside for me Is no licensed cars. Online play is kinda dead, though you can occasionally find games.

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Plenty of exotic licensed cars and Cops vs Racer action.

The Crew: open world, active online component, and currently free until october 11th on the Uplay client. https://club.ubisoft.com/en-US/ubi30

Ridge Racer:Unbounded.

Dirt series leans towards the arcade side of things, but are focused on rally racing other than on roads/cities.

Grid Series is kinda in the middle between arcade and simulation.

Trackmania

EA has more racing games on the Origin Client as well.

I've been playing Need For Speed: The Run on console lately, it's rather fun but can be very frustrating at times. I'm not sure if it's on Steam. It's also quite short, with a campaign that can be finished in a few hours if you don't make mistakes often.

I enjoyed GRID 2, and now going for GRID (the first one), both are awesome.

Nice, i thought i was the only one who thinks that is the best one. Trackmania ofcourse is my all time favorite, but it's online centered and it needs a lot of practice to get anywhere (i play for 10 years, there are still many others way better than me). From new titles i don't find anything special, maybe dirt rally (but you will be disappointed due to difficulty), i also like the crew which is different, the rest like assetto corsa or project cars look all the same to me. Also you might like the trials series , i find them very relaxing (although frustrating at times due to difficulty).
