free games in library list
would it suck to see all the free games available on steam listed in games library? i mean on different list or tab or whatever. not mixed with the games you already own but havent installed..

E: i mean it would be like in youtube. you finish watching wideos you have in your subscribson list and watch the recommended and another and after 10 hours you end up from watching diresta video to seeing baby raccoon beign crushed by hydraulic press..

this way small games and their small makers would have more small exposure and maybe if people like the game they would look for what else that tiny game developer have made. then they get bigger and get sponsors and can make that fps version of angry birds and become billioners and stop paying taxes forever. everyone wins!

cheers..

I don't think people want advertising for games in their library, that's what the store is for.
Maybe if you separated it from your own games it might be more OK to some but even still the library and store should be separate imo.
Maybe if it is an opt-in setting.

Oh yeah, if you play a free2play game and don't spend money on it then it doesn't even stay in your library. It seems that Valve doesn't want this either really.

People who want free2play games can always go here: http://store.steampowered.com/genre/Free%20to%20Play/

It's nice that you want to get exposure for more games and all that but this is one of the few services that doesn't do this really and that's kind of cool in my opinion. Overexposure can be a problem also.

i ment like a separetated alphabetic list that can be turned on and off. no adds. you'd turn it on on the View menu and can also turn it off. and yeah keep it on store also for people who wants to discover games that way. so yes.. opt-in..

about that free2play games disappearing on games list kinda suck too. i'd prefer manual deleting games from my list..
Steam currently lists 1436 games as "free to play." That would be a nightmare to sort through in the library.

I think there are other user interface issues that should take precedence.

and thats where "random" comes in.. just like in youtube. only here you wouldnt watch a funny video where a kitten rescues a fireman but try one of those 50-100MB games that you wouldnt never find anyway.

and yes.. why isnt there a smooth scroll in steam forums..
