Steam's confirmations have been down recently and now I cannot trade my skins because I have had to delete the Steam app just to reinstall it and have to now redo my mobile authenticator because I deleted the app. Now I have to wait 15 days to trade, I need to sell my skins on Skinport immediately. However, I have a trade lock because Steam is useless at being good with trading because of their bugs. I had kept gotten confirmation errors because Steam was being ass, and I couldn't trade. I had done every other way to get it to work, never worked. How do I get this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trade hold to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ go away because of steam ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with us? It is literally stopping me from earning real money.

You removed the authenticator, you resat the guard system, why would you NOT go through it again? Its not like a machine knows what your thinking.

Well, to a certain extent, you can, there's services letting you do just that. Unsurprisingly, they're shady AF and might just as well screw you over...

What really makes me wonder is that fixation on Steam I've seen a couple times. I kinda-maybe-partially get the idea of collecting internet scraps but why would one exclude all options but Steam? There's sites having you fill out surveys and paying a couple REAL cents, there's Amazon's Mechanical Turk which is a great way to get internet cents but it has, for some ♥♥♥♥♥♥-up reason, to be Steam.

I don't get this.

Steam did this, they ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up their confirmation, no other way worked and oh well, this resets it even though it is the same phone and it was used just minutes prior

You've deleted your instance of the mobile authenticator. In future, don't uninstall the app if you don't want cool downs.

And Valve can also ban you from trading all together or even terminate your account for trading for real cash if they want and you'll have no legal recourse. Also "Many YouTubers trust X" might be one of the worst arguments for why something is legit ever.

Obviously nothing we say is going to change your mind, and you very well might never encounter any issues, but if you do don't come crying to us thinking that we, or Valve, can do anything to help you.
