And I will also say GRIS, the platformer game with cool artstyle just because it makes you feel empty.

Elder Scrolls Skyrim also, you constantly feel lonely even with companions.

an inheritly depressing game

its slightly worse and more depressing when you have mental issue, due to entitled people, bullied, narcissists, politics, paperwork, family members isolating you (because you're weird), etc.

And its slightly more depressing if you hate your body for whatever reason (fat/skinniness, face, voice, gender dysphoria, etc.)

and most depressing if you're practically attacked by most people for being weird all your life, causing a disabling trauma that makes you wonder if its even okay to do anything or why you should do something anyway, and just makes you want to stop being around and laying in bed all day or something.

--- you don't get quests in life, so..
if you make your own quest, like 'try making a friend'
prepare to get constantly disappointed, or be prepared to be replaced and abandoned after being used for years as a tool or as narcissistic supply or something.

now here's the problem, you can't stop it. You can't shut it off
so you have to face it anyway
and so you're practically being tortured by it, as if your system got hacked, meaning...

Cyberpunk 2077. Most depressing title, for the most wasted potential in gaming history. You can feel at every corner, there is a game hidden ... and fun ... If they only used more time to create it.

It just lacks content, the city feels dead and empty. A big city and NOTHING to do. At least it feels that way.

8 Doors Arums Afterlife Adventure is very depressing.
It starts with the main character killing herself.
Very disturbing to say the least.
It's a very hard game to boot.
