Best Current MMO on Steam?
There seems to be dozens of MMO's on steam. Some from 2006 era all the way to 2018.

Is there a single MMO that is popular with good rating but doesnt contain anime cat girls and cartoons?

Is there a single MMO that is not pay to win?

From decent research my conclusion is No. There is no MMOs without p2w or cartoon anime hentai fantasy cheese.

All i want is an experience similar to WOW specifically Vanilla or The Burning Crusade, without a monthly subscription, Without p2w gates, without starter packs that offer OP bonuses, without 5+ Dlcs that each cost $30+

I dont care if its Buy to Play or Free or has possibly 1-2 dlcs. I just want a borderline mature mmo without extremely greedy business practices with decent gameplay and community.

I was looking at Elder Scrolls Online or Neverwinter as the most appealing ones so far however i would like to know how bad the p2w elements are in these games? I see elder scrolls has an expansion now for another $40 which is fine as long as it doesnt contain other p2w elements ontop of this.

Sadly the only thing ive experienced with this set up was Vanilla WOW on a private server. Which i am now tired of after 3 years. It had no p2w, it was free with a acceptable population and im looking for anything similar to that experience. Which doesnt seem to exist.

The ammount of times you say P2W make me think you have no idea what P2W actually is, very very very few games in the west are pay to win, some have pay for convenience but thats different entirely.

Pay to win: Epic sword of the awesomness cannot be earned ingame, only from real money purchase and is best in slot

Pay for convenience : epic sword of awesome takes 100 hours to grind, those that pay get it in 50 via boosts, eventually free and paid player on same footing, so not pay to win.

It all depends how much that item is worth that takes 100 hours to grind i guess to determine the levels of P2w. I get that every modern game mmo has some element of p2w. It was discussed earlier in thread.

Pay for Convinience- get top level and epic loot for $20! is a red flag for p2w.

As long as no items are only obtainable through real money, then its not truly Pay to Win i get it.

Well point me in the right direction then and offer me some other options. ESO seems decently populated and the only mmo on that list of top 100 played games on steam.

Rift has about 5 expansions totally nearly $200 as well as a optional monthly subscription Lol.
Actually I think Black Desert Online is on there but im pretty sure it uses a lot of bots and asians

Black Desert Online IS the epitome of Pay to Win or grind till your nose bleeds of exhaustion

Guild Wars 2 has always been a go to for me.

Blade and soul was also decent from what I played.

Albion online is also pretty decent as well.
