While the window size generally changes if you just put the resolution as 4K in-game, you could try seeing if behavior is any different should you first change your desktop resolution to 3840x2160 outside the game and then enter the game?
i actually tried changing my desktop res to 4K and all icons and text looks super tiny, it doesn't supersample like a game would. I actually want to just put it at 4K but can't figure out a way to have it supersample (keep the same image size just condense pixels for extra crispiness) rather than zoom out.
