Recommendations for Dark Lord Simulators

I've been wanting to play games where you play as a dark lord/evil wizard/lich king etc. but I'm not finding very many. I found soulash which mechanics wise is almost exactly what I'm looking for but the graphics and art style are a little too outdated for my taste. Does anyone have any recommendations?

This very much catches the charme of the old Dungeon Keeper games, including the narrator. I personally love it.

I'm not really looking for dungeon management type stuff like dungeon keeper. I'm looking more for things like overlord, soulash. Thanks for the suggestions though
