I want a refund for a Dota 2 item
Hello, I recently sold a csgo item for 68€ (pretty much 75US$) and at the same time 3 new items of the game dota 2 that I did not want were on my steam account, without me knowing it, and being charged of 83€ (pretty much 90US$). So I want to be refunded for those items I don't want because I lost 90$ because of that.
Thank you

Less than $2 max, Dota 2 has the ability to customize/autograph/inscribe items so they have their own individual listings on the market.

That's why scams with them are so common. A scammer will make a customized item, mark it at like $100, then either hijack accounts and buy it from the market, or try to trade it for stuff like expensive CSGO skins.

To put it simply, you're not going to get anything close to what you lost back.

If you didn't buy them then that means your account is compromised and you need to take steps to secure it.

1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey - This field should be blank

Also no refunds from store purchases so you need to figuire out what you did that compromised your account and stop doing it

And do you know how I can get my money back beside selling it ?

All market transactions are final. You won't get a refund.

You should really focus on securing your account first. Otherwise it's just going to happen again.

Hopefully this wont be the case but chances are good those DOTA items you have are completely worthless and your account was used to purchase them at highly inflated prices.

Your items have been refunded.

Steam does not refund items. Please do not claim they do.

Ok so if it is i'm just a little bit f#cked because i have no chance to sell those items

You can still sell them, but only for what they are actually worth.

You failed to secure your account properly, now you have to deal with the consequences.
