I couldn't really build a list of games I hate. Even in the most mediocre game, I can find some redeeming qualities. However, I can think of two that come to mind:
Voltage
By F-Games, that should have been the first clue it was going to bad. Game is nothing like the screenshots on the sales page. Extremely unoptimized, unorganized, unfinished. I don't mind low-budget but there has to be some semblance of competence. It should have been an Early Access game because at least the developer would have an excuse for how bad it is and could continue to update it. Fortunately, it is not in my library anymore as I refunded it after 10 minutes of gameplay.
Hunting for Trump
Since been pulled from the store for whatever reason. I bought it because it was going to be a joke game no matter what so I was curious. I paid 66 cents for it and got less than what I paid. I did not expect much and was not disappointed in that regard. My review of it did grab two Take My Points and one Jester awards, so I got something from it. Basic premise, I guess, was you were an Agent 47 type hunting through a town looking to take out Trump while dodging zombies because, you know, zombies makes make every game more fun to play. In the end it was just a crapfest of a game.
Skyrim, oh yeah, Played it for the first time last year, wouldn't call it a bad game, but not much better than slightly above average. One of the most overrated games of all time.
Exactly. Should have mentioned that with worse I don't necessarily mean "bad" or games that i straight up "hate". The worst games in your collection can still be decent, which means that you have a pretty awesome collection. In fact, when it comes to my own list i wouldn't call any of those truly bad, at least not until spot 13 or 12. The Top 10 however are some serious sh*tfests imo.
Delta force, Army Men, Men of Valor...And especially Black & White, which got great reviews and still has a huge fanbase, even these days.
But i do understand that if you buy a game from the early 2000's and play it for the first time in modern years that it can be a different experience. That's why i'm wondering if you are a young gamer.
""Everything wrong with" the game"
Can't think of games from the top of my head. I tend to remember games I enjoyed, not games I didn't enjoy.
Yeah I was actually considering picking it up, but the Friday the 13th series has been in legal limbo for so long and so bad that they stopped all development on that game, so I knew it would have virtually zero players and matchmaking would take forever. At least I have Dead By Daylight to keep me busy!
legit question, but actually, slowly approaching my late 30s and being a gamer since the early 90s, i believe I'm among the older gamers here... ;)
I experienced the hype around some of the older games you mentioned (and even fell for it) first hand. I bought Black and White full price back in 2001 just because everybody kept telling me that it was the best game of all time, but i got bored by it literally within minutes. Not a truly bad game, but i still couldn't force myself to finish it until today and it was one of my personal biggest wastes of money on a video game ever. Still have the game though.
Delta Force Black Hawk Down is another one of those cases. I got it around 2004 or so, when it was still relatively fresh, but lost interest after only a few hours. By that time we already had shooters like Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Aliens versus Predator 2 and Jedi Knight 2 and compared to those Delta Force Black Hawk Down seemed incredibly dated and simplistic to me, even for 2003 standards.
btw I also got sniper art of victory probably from the same bundle but I never even started it, so now im even less motivated to do so
Dbd is the game of which friday 13th is a stickman image of.
