Older/lowspec PC Games Like Gran Turismo or NFS Underground?

I've got the itch to play a good racing game. I used to love Gran Turismo 2 as well as Need for speed Underground, Underground 2, & Carbon on PS2 back in the day. Would like to find some similar games to play on PC.

I liked GT2 for the career mode... Start with slow car, slowly upgrade it til you get into a better vehicle altogether.

I liked the PS2 NFS games for the same reasons and loved them for the customization options, although tthe driving simulation was less realistic than GT2, and getting into better vehicles was a little easier than it was in GT2. Both were amazing games, imo.

Im aware you can get multiple NFS titles on PC, but to my knowledge none of them hold a candle to the PS2 entries in the realm of customization. And definitly don't have the awesome nostalgic Fast & Furious theme them goin for them like Underground, Underground 2, & Carbon. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Seems like the few modern racing games I've played have a fairly bland career mode, boring customization, little or no vehicle tuning/upgrades, etc. Wreckfest is really cool and hands down the best modern one I've played, unfortunately it's not really an option on an igpu laptop lol.

So I'm looking for older games or games capable of running on Intel HD 4400, i7, with 8gb ram at a playable frame rate.
