Whats the dumbest thing you got banned for on steam?

Me, I put up non-porn screenshots of a hentai game that only had nudity available in the game, so it was just nude screenshots of what was essentially handdrawn artwork. And then I got a 7 day suspension from posting any community content...despite the game only being viewed by those who say they are "18" (kids can still say it but oh well lol) or older, and it was a literal hentai game...so I guess steam hates hentai but allowed the game. But was definitely the stupidest thing I got in trouble for on steam, because that meant no one could actually put any screenshots of that game at all without getting in trouble, so one could go to the game community page and just report every single person on there.

I wasnt even angry either, it was so dumb it actually made me laugh so I joke about it all the time lol. But was definitely the dumbest thing I got a community suspension for on steam lol.

You ever been banned for anything dumb on steam? I know sometimes one can be banned on a game forum page. I've heard some funny stories out of there.

But these trolls gave me a ban for trolling, which in itself is an insult, since I have never trolled anyone, but they also trolled me when trying to request WHAT I violated.
Of course, I will continue to report complaints about the "support" until these trolls explain where the trolling was in my post. If needed - i'll mail to uncle gaben.
It's a bad habit to judge others by yourself. I hope the moderators will understand this someday.

In that case the moderator may not have seen the context that you wanted to purchase from another legitimate source. You have to be careful about other users "dogwhistling" about piracy; users often look for ways to circumvent the moderators.

A lot of things that happen on steam forums in general are hard to understand. Why some people who break the rules a lot never get punished while others who rarely do are the ones who are? You can report someone with evidence and they'll never get banned. Do it once and you get some 2 weeks ban. This alone means that bad people can get a free pass.

You can always say "Others breaking the rules isn't a reason for you to do so" and it's true but it remains a mystery why some people who spew insults like nothing never get punished.

You can report an "offensive" comment (which contains at least one uncensored swear word) and the comment gets deleted and author gets text warning.
Do it few times and author of those comments gets ban. It looks wrong, but I approve this action.

Steam uses personal dictionary of all words that are bannable. Moderators just finish the job in their liking.

And, of course, my favorite. Referring to fanboys (without mentioning specific names) is an insult.
Calling a specific person (who never trolls anyone) a troll is not an insult.
