Batman Arkham city worth 2021?

I have a question.
Is Batman Arkham city worth in 2021?
Is it better than modern AAA games like Hitman, Batman Arkham Knight?
Should I buy it?

Yeah, definitely one of the better Batman games. It's totally worth playing in modern days (just because a game's a few years old doesn't mean the quality drops :P). But if you're worried about how it stacks up, Arkham City has aged very well.

The game hasn't changed in all these years, so it will be just as good as back then. Especially with the low price during sales.

Some games may have aged technically or have outdated game mechanics, that have been made obsolete by newer titles, but the Arkham games aren't among those. They'll play almost exactly like Arkham Knight or even LotR: Shadow of War would. It's signature "Freeflow Combat" has even been emulated by games not made by WB, like "Hand of Fate" or the much more recent PS4 Spider Man games.
There even is a good chance, you'll like Asylum and City more than Knight.

It's better than Arkham Knigt all right. Sure, Knight got the Batmobile and better visuals, but it's also got generic'ish open-world gameplay while City feels like a Batman game.
Age doesn't matter too much anyway. While there is games that are dated by modern standards, but great gameplay is timless. Deus Ex, for example, was ugly'ish back then when it first got released, doesn't look better all the years later but the gameplay, well, great gameplay is timeless.
I personally consider Wolfenstein 3D worth playing as well (albeit with a sourceport, the lack of mouse aiming or, with little tweaks, lack of mouse aim while strafing, now that hurts in the modern day & age as does the lack of a minimap).
What about going further back? Commander Keen is still as playable in 2021 as it was upon release!

Good games don't lose relevance only because time passes by. Now I get there's franchies built on yearly sequels (everything EA sports, Call of Duty), but thosre are IMHO not worth playing in the first place.

All the Arkham games are top tier gameplay and storywise. Sure they have aged a bit but there's only a few games that aged that well. I'd wait for a sale.

Definetly a "must buy" from me.

Words can't describe how severly uncomparable those games are...

And yes it is better than Arkham Knight in some factors, but worse in others. It is a small degree whether it is worth it TO YOU or not. I personally see it as a must have for Arkham fans - or Batman fans in general. Also I would say the price is just insanely low for what is delivered

It's not better as in there's no comparison to be made between those. It is its own thing. Think before replying condescendingly.

I liked Asylum better, but it's still a great game.
