Twitch follower scam
Hey guys, I just got scammed yesterday by a guy named Zuraba Jr. He scammed me off my 350$ mp9 wild lily, by showing me a twitch account with fake/bought followers and having exspensive items, which let me to belive he was legit. The mp9 wild lily was the only exspensive skin i have ever had (i was lucky enough to get it dropped last year) and I feel really ♥♥♥♥♥♥. If anybody can help me in any way, please let me know. I also have plenty of proof. I hope noboday else falls for the scams of this guy and he gets banned asap

You can have all the proof in the world, you won't recover your items https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9958-MJDG-3003

Report the user, block, learn the lesson, move on
The only thing new is the service they are trying to scam you from. Although the fake Twitch scam is not really new. The fake YouTube ones have made the rounds the past 7 years.

had same situation 4 days ago. guy said that let’s go to tournament and he stole all my inventory about 120$ . and steam just ignores me, even if i have a chance to get it back about 2 weeks, but steam doesn’t do anything

Do you read the article Astaroth linked? Of course, Steam will ignore you normally because you are responsible for that. Scammed items aren't going to you back.
Any info or trading you do off steam, or even agreements to do trades, is suspect instantly. Never trade for things you cannot actively confirm, with accounts that you can also actively confirm. Trusting "some guy on twitter" or "discord friend of a friend" or "the guy that claims you just won a tournament you didn't enter"... they're scams, and you're only going to learn from it, nothing else.

I don't get it. You gave him your skin because... ?
Greed, getting something for digital goods that was shinier than elsewhere.

Greed is the #1 (not the only, but definitely the primary) reason for any scam to WORK.

Yes, it takes a scammer to set things up. But... it takes a greedy person to fall for their lies.

You're warned by Steam regarding trading via 3rd party sources.
Only trade Steam items for other Steam items, and all within a single trade window. Anything else and you're likely to be scammed.

Well, now you know why you should not trust strangers. Be glad you've learned the lesson online instead of real life where the stakes are way higher (were you to trust a stranger enough to get in their van, for example).

Why didn't you just sell the skin on Steam? Why go all-in with a random stranger who happens to be a fake twitch streamer, just to earn like $40 extra in a way that must have tickled your scam senses from a mile away..

You could have gotten yourself games for years with that money on Steam..

I need the money in real life, and since you cant cash out steam balance i even considered his offer in the first place.
Well shouldnt have used twitch, something completely unrelated, as a fact of someone being legit. Your stuff is gone, deal with it, and use your brain next time.
