Will account get banned due to multiple reports?

Ok, I don't usually ask here or post here. I was approached by this random guy on Discord. He asks me whether do i have an alt account on steam which I replied nope. He mentioned that he dealt with someone who had the same profile and name I have, and then he mentioned that he is scammed. He convinced several players to report me on it. I have not done any tradings for a long time. I am unsure whether he is legit or not. Should this be reported to Steam support to check on? Last trading I had was on 19 Jul, 2019.

Reports alone do not ban you. It is a common scam. Report, block and move on.

It’s a scam. Don’t do anything they say or click any links. Ignore them.

Valve won’t warn you if you will be banned or restricted or whatever. Valve will act first then force you to contact them to resolve any issues.

There’s no such thing as pending bans. Mass reporting an account will do nothing if you have done nothing wrong.

Again, it’s a scam.

NEVER follow instructions to speak with someone claiming to represent Steam Support through Discord or any other chat system, even if they come from a friend's account.
