3rd Person ARPG Hack & Slash?

Just curious if there are any good 3rd person ARPG Hack & Slash games?

I mean legit Diablo/Titan Quest/Grim Dawn etc type gameplay but 3rd person view rather than isometric? Amazing, fast paced, & fluid combat, massive hordes of enemies at a time to mow through like grass with an OP character... multiple classes to choose from, versatile character build system, armor sets, tons of loot & mods to tweak your character build etc?

Closest thing I could think off of the top of my head was WoW or similar MMORPG's but thats not exactly what I'd call fast paced or fluid combat, much less a versatile character build system.

There are plenty of games with awesome fast paced and fluid combat like Darksiders or maybe Devil May Cry.. They check the combat box fine but they lack pretty much everything else.


Anyways, I dont have a problem with Isometric at all, just curious if it's ever been done in 3rd person. Would make for a really cool gaming experience, I think.

Hellgate: London i have original dvd version but i do think steam has the original well kinda think by this point its been chopped cropped and sorts of screwed compared to 2006/7 version still can be played 3rd p or even 1st p has everything you looking for. guns and sword/shield diablo like with hordes of enemies and loot to boot multiple char classes and builds to try can upgrade all weapons some with physical addons and the stat upgrades for both weapon and armor just like diabloish arpgs, decent story as well. So pick your love and play, get a few mods make it where you can use use swords/shields spell caster gear on a gun toting engineer if you like with robo-minions or use summoner like that spawn tons minions what ever tickles your fancy. lol. Not sure the mods work on steam version but you could try anyways. you could look for an "other" copy of the original dvd version then mod it if steam version don't pan out.

from what i understand though steam version been all sorts of screwed. This close I can get to what you are looking for. I've had it since 2006 on dvd believe it or not i still play it in 2021, its a deep game still secrets i haven't found and it covers all the bases you mentioned. The dvd version had dx10 native but not sure what this steam version is like. Also the videos here don't do it justice, hit up yt find some game play vids. From what one review said this version doesn't live up to the dvd version. So idk try it and see. If never play the 2006/7 version you wont have expectations like us that did so might get in it a be absolutely fine. Just because our nostalgia waters it down where a complete new player may not see it or feel the flaws of comparrison.
Btw there was an online only version back in the day this isn't it this the solo side the DvD version had before the IP was sold off because of flagship studio developers went bankrupt. This one them game devs electronic arts killed off because they pushed unrealistic release dates.

I second this. The original Witcher has a great story with choices and political intrigue. The combat and graphics haven't aged well, but well worth your time.
