I don't know what's going to be on sale, but I would suggest that if you don't have a specific game you want to buy, just don't buy anything. It'll save you money. If you just want to get the thrill of picking up something new, you might end up picking up a lot of games that you might want to play sometime but don't get around to. And you might even question why you bought them in the first place. Instead, pick up those games that you want in your life.
hey for real doh

i need suggestions of what other people are eyeing, or deem of quality.

i already got one game on sale i was eyeing for a few years

and to answer your question reply post #1, ill eye games over multiple sales long before buying because as you say, you save money...

but then ill forget since i dont like crowding up my list with 10000+ wishes

I can't see how full your wishlist is right now, and I don't know what your taste is, but here are some of my personal recommendations off the top of my head:

anything from the Ys series (action JRPG)
Mini Metro (sim)
anything from the Legend of Heroes: Trails series (but start with the first game as this is story-heavy) (JRPG)
Mutant Mudds Deluxe (collectathon/challenge platformer)
Freedom Planet (action platformer)
100% Orange Juice (virtual board game, multiplayer)
Recettear (business sim / action JRPG)
Fortune Summoners (brawler / action platformer / JRPG)

I stuck a fuller list here (which I need to update): https://store.steampowered.com/curator/30549202-Lindwurm-Games-Lounge/

Also if you also get games on other stores you might be able to clear up your wishlist more quickly. Though it might not help you play them more quickly...

I personally started with The Oath in Felghana, which I think is one of the more difficult entries, and I loved it.

All of them can be enjoyed standalone, except for Ys II which should be played directly after Ys I. But those are sold together anyway.
hmmmmm ill google this

Some "random" recommendations that I'd feel comfortable making:

  • I don't even know the "genre" -- you're a "builder" opening a workshop in a little town to help them grow an improve, and there's also some difficulties along the way that basically make up the story.
    My Time at Portia, Trailer

  • Action/JRPG. Good story, but be prepared for lengthy cutscenes
    Tokyo Xanadu eX+, Trailer

  • Another Action/JRPG. I wasn't the biggest fan of the combat system, but the characters and story are well done. Some areas might feel a bit too large.
    Tales of Berseria, Trailer

  • A bit of a light puzzle-ish platformer, I guess? I haven't played the 4th one yet, and I didn't like the third part. While I didn't like them removing some aspects they had in the first part, the second one is still the best in my list.
    Trine 2, Trailer

  • An apparenty bread-and-butter-ish fantasy-ish action-ish game... except that the combat system is based on typing
    Epistory: Typing chronicles, Trailer

  • A Point&Click adventure... that has no writing? No clue, really.
The Book of Unwritten Tales, no useful trailer

  • Another point&click
    The Inner World, Trailer

  • An action-based RPG-ish something? "The" or one of the first to feature a narrator, and an excellent one at that.
    Bastion, Trailer

  • Ever wanted a remake of a famous movie series that's actually good?
Lego: Lord of the Rings, Trailer

  • Sonic on Steam? Almost, I suppose.
    Freedom Planet, Trailer

  • Games like these... I'm guessing you either like them, or you don't. This is a turn-based JRPG with above-average fanservice and VN-style storytelling which can get a bit lengthy at times. It's set in a world named Gamindustri which is very much focused on games, and the later two mainline games have excellent stories. I'll list the latest one because it also a more current engine. I don't like the remake.
    Megadimension Neptunia VII, Trailer
Re;Birth3 is a good one too, but noticeably older.

  • Well, talking about turn-based JRPGs, if you "can stomach" RPG-makerish stuff -- I don't have a lot of experience with those, but I found this to be surprisingly good.
    Ara Fell, Trailer

Well, I guess I'll just stop for now.

Just FYI, Tales of Berseria still has Denuvo, if I recall correctly.

Dunno if you care about that.
depends on the title. thank you for the list Kargor

i generally like to stay away from denuvo, but depending on the title, changes implementation at times. apparently some devs use it too well...
