Spacewar

I was checking my profile and I saw that I had a game called "Spacewar" in my played games, even though when I check my games or my Licenses, I don't see it anywhere.
Any ideas how I could remove it ?

Google "spacewar on steam" if you want to know what it's usually used for ...

You don't. It usually is a sign of either a very badly configured mod, or a sideeffect of pirating Steamgames.

What? spacewar is a hidden game. steam://run/480 in windows run is how to play spacewar

It's not a "hidden" game, its a sample game that is used by pirates to try to fool steam with pirated copies and used by a very small number of mods that are not built well.

Most of the time if you have it on your profile your doing something illegal, especially if you don't know what it is...

It's a Steamworks implementation demo, not a full game. It exists to show developers how Steamworks is implemented properly.
Also, it's abused to pirate games.

yea, i read a little about the game
But in my defence, i haven't downloaded any pirated games (at least, none that involves steam)
So I'm not sure how I got it

Using Steam to launch a game will create the ability to ... you know, use Steam's client for things.

Spacewar is nothing to do with that.

i mean tecnically, I didn't download any pirated games on this computer, i was on my old one, but that doesn't matter i guess.
Using steam to lauch non-steam games is just that, using steam to launch non-steam game, doesn't have anything to do with Spacewar.
But that past my question (how to remove Spacewar), so any ideas ?

You cannot remove it, it will always show on your account and people will always know your a pirate
