You could try "Conan Exiles"

Extensive base building: check
Big open world : check
a ton of crafting : check

Also can be played alone or multiplayer.
Single player is similar to Ark, where you can just make your own "server" on your PC and adjust all the settings like crafting speed, gathering rate, exp gain and so on.
So its very playable solo, put like 60 hours into it a few years back.
