Shortcuts not deleted when I uninstall a game
For some reason when I uninstall a game or demo via Steam the shortcut isn't always being deleted with it and when I right click on it to delete it I get the message that "this is no longer located in C and to verify the items location and try again". It doesn't happen all the time but I now have about six or seven shortcuts that I can't delete or move because the game is no longer installed. When I right click on the shortcut and go to properties it shows 0 bytes and when I go to the location given in drive C the short cut isn't there.
I've looked on the internet for answers but the options given are a bit complicated and involve going into the OS and making changes. I know nothing about tampering with files like this and I'm worried that I may make a serious error and cause even more problems.
So has anyone had this problem before or can someone show me how to get rid of them without delving into the OS files.

Thanks for the reply, wow that did it. All of the shortcuts that wouldn't delete have gone now, you are a life saver. What exactly does f5 do anyway, I don't think I've ever had need to use it before today.

F5 is the default refresh key.

it's weird that the issue occurs in the first place, and this will not prevent it from happening again, but at least you know how to get rid of 'em now

and yeah f5 is just «refresh» like it is in your web browser, it should normally just happen automatically without you having to press anything

What kinds of videogames do our elders enjoy?

For me it's all about graphics and how good the game looks, realism is the key. I know many people will disagree but I'm willing to trudge through some pretty awful and buggy games as long as they look good. I spend way too much money and time on updating my hardware.
The list of my best games is quite large. There's the Metro series, the Dishonoured series, most of the Assassins Creed crowd, all the Sniper Elite and Wolfenstein games,Far Cry and Witcher 3, the list goes on.
I used to like racing games but in recent years arthritis in the hands has slowed me down and my reaction times are way too slow.
