Should i buy Ashen or Remnant?

I'm considering buying one of those Dark Souls like games this Christmas sale to play with friend, but would like to know which one you deem better and with which one we'll have better fun together.
Your opinion would be appreciated

Ashen seem like a wash down version of Dark souls, I watch gameplay of it, and can't say I would recommend it TBH, but if you're a heavy Dark souls fan, it might be good to get, but even then I still say there better games than Ashen.

Remnant seem really fun, and there reasons to reply it for sure as well from the gameplays I been watching, and TBH I think Remnant see better choice than Ashen, that just IMO.

Well, if nothing changes, I'll go by your advice then on next sale.

Remnant has solid gameplay. It feels responsive when moving around and rolling so it's more like Dark Souls.

It's more focused on gunplay than melee. You'll end up finding a lot of weapons and I did use several different weapons throughout the game.

If you play with a friend you can pick one choice and your friend can pick the other so you'll get everything. If you miss something there is adventure mode that I think will enable you to get them again.
