Games where you use only magic
Could you suggest to me games where you can use only magic for combat, or at least mage heavy games, like Nine Parchments and Mages of Mystralia.
Thank you in advance.

Pretty much any RPG-ish game should offer magic-based classes

Sorry, you misunderstud me. I'm not looking for classes, I'm looking for a game where: you can beat the game as mage.
If you have play Nine Parchments or Mages of Mystralia you would see that neither of them has classes - but games are mage heavy and you only use magic to defeat enemies.

Most RPG or games makes player play as warrior or if it has mages, mages have too little power.

Besides, was it so hard to name few rpg that have viable mage class, but I guess you can't since you haven't play any of those.

You have to fight with melee or range at the beginning. After you join the Mages (Unlock the Magic) you can beat the entire game only with magic. http://store.steampowered.com/sub/6375/

Elder Scrolls Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim everyone you can play as a pure Mage from the beginning.

My understanding was that mages tend to be overpowered over warriors -- the "linear warriors, quadratic wizards" trope.

That said, if you're looking for a game where you only use magic to fight, off the top of my head I can think of Magicka.

Also, WRPGs where you get to choose your character class tend to have viable mage classes.

Oh that's an awesome game! And certainly counts.

Also, some other games where you essentially use magic as your basic attack -- any shmup that involves mages doing things. For example, the eXceed games. And maybe Ziggurat?

I remember a shmup where you play as a fairy but I can´t remember the name of the game.

Hmm maybe he should try

:Invader3: Pillars of Eternity

:Invader3: Tyranny

But I am not sure about these two games since I am not really into RPG games and always die right at the beginning of the game... :zamazing:

I don't know whether you ever play as a fairy, but of course there's the Touhou games which are basically big magical spitting contests.
