Can you use oculus quest 2 with steam?

Can we use the oculus quest 2 with steam vr?

Like the first Oculus Quest they have their hardware inbuild and only use a specific version of the Oculus Store for games.
You dont need a PC for them.

The first Quest you could either connect to PC via streaming ( pretty laggy) or use a special connection cable which basically turned the Quest into a normal Rift and then could play Steam VR and games on PC.
So i suspect they will have the same with the Quest 2.

According to Facebook, Quest 2 uses Oculus link as well as the Quest 1 odes.

Oh cool, is it worth it though? Or is index still better?

The Index is hella expensive but according to Ars, RPS, Engadget and my own experience totally worth it. The Quest 2 on the other hand is, according to Ars ayway, too cheap to be good. I game for hours at a time though, making the great display of the Index a requirement. If you're more into half-hour sessions, things are different.

Yeah i don't think i would play for hours with vr and dont really have the room to have base stations all over so maybe i need the occulus then, the only thing im not happy with is the need to have a facebook account! i was trying to get away from facebook lol.
